2009 M3 -vs- 1973 Porsche 914 2.0
No, it wasn't much of a race ( after 1st gear ), but I just wanted give a big complement to the new BMW M3. A beautiful and very quick car.
I had a instance to put my 1973 Porsche 914 with a newly re-built 2056 engine up against a brand new BMW M3 at a stop light over the weekend in a drag race. Well lets just say that if the race was to the other end of the intersection... I won. But of course after that, it was all very down hill. LOL!
My wife said to me in the car... "Did you actually think you were going to win?". No honey, It's just a guy thing.
I just wanted to see the M3 blow past me for my own pleasure. And I was more than impressed. For all of you who have one... Very nice.
