Nice find! There was a guy on m5board a while back that had a plethora of barely used BMWs. He even had a 6 series from the 80s with less than 2k miles. He had a bunch of brand new Z8s as well.

When they ended production of this car, I bought the second last one in Canada. I had a choice between silver and velvet blue (purple).
Bought silver and immediately drove it to Florida to break it in. Absolutely LOVED that car.
