The configuration of choice would be Alpine White over Fox Red/Carbon Leather. With Vorsteiner "Carbon" accessories for the exterior and Eisenmann pipes. That seems like what EVERYONE has.

I would go for Interlagos Blue over Black/Aluminum. And maybe the Vorsteiner Ti exhaust.

 

I have yet to see a Silver Gray example. That would be my choice, in the E92 platform, loaded.

Nothing that you would feel on the butt dyno imo.

I recommend getting it with the SMG gearbox as like others have said, the 6sp does not match the character of the engine. It has less torque down low than its predecessor and is one gear short compared the SMG which has 7.

As for colors, I am big fan of alpine white as well as interlagos blue on white leather

What about Sepang Bronze? That's probably my favorite color on the M5 yet.

 

Interlagos Blue is where its at. I've actually been eying a few used M5/M6 with prices dropping like they are.... Even the S6 has caught my attention...
