I see these nearly ever year in the Port of St Tropez, the Rodriguez group gets them good spots with the Leopards as well.

The Math
1.5 million out of pocket + 10 years cheap maintenance is 2 million bucks

OR Rent a 65' skippered boat for 2 weeks a year for $20k a week

It would take 50 years to get to 2 million bucks and my kids don't want to spend 2 weeks a summer on a boat anyway
Perfect way to look at it unless you just have stupid FU money lying around.

Very true, we've got an 84 feet Yacht. People complain when maintaing an exotic car, that nothing when you compare it to a Yacht the annual maintanence is just a lot of money thats without including the salary of the Captain, staff, chef , Diesel, Ports etc

The cost of operation on yachts and boats is what tends to be the expensive bit. MeanMachine would know having an 84' yacht. Just to give you an example; that Christensen Yacht "Odessa" has a monthly budget of $175k. You also have to take into account the cost of mooring your boat in the best marinas when you travel and the amount you need to "grease" the dock master. Also, I know of people who's chefs on boats are paid more than the captains, since they take top chefs from top restaurants.

You're probably referring to the Rodriguez Rendezvous that happens every year in July. A gathering of owners of Rodriguez yachts.

My old 39' Midnight cost me about $75k a year when I included storage fees, insurance, Fuel, etc. It was under warranty so maintenance didn't really cost much, but that's a ton of money for a 39' center console with 3 engines.

Oh, and BTW I absolutely love that 130 Mangusta. I love the silver color on it. I had seen it before, but fall in love every time I see her.

Hernando if it was mine I'd have it in two tone, white/ gray like the classic yachts think it would look unique on a Mangusta. MY favourite is Palmer 135

The palmer 135 is incredible, this is one of my favorites, I like the two tone design they came up with.

Mangusta 108

Hi,

I thought you would be interested to have a look at the engine room...
You can see the huge blowers on the sides as well as the huge air filter and exhaust pipes.
There are two V16 biturbo disele engines...3,750hp each...enjoy!
