And the fact it was a Merritt was even better.

I have a Porsche customer that named his go fast boat Dirty Sanchez!

Some good ones here. I've been lettering boats for twenty-five years, done well over a thousand of all kinds... every one has a story behind it. Probably done a couple dozen 'Wet Dream' variations and many dozens with 'Reel Something'... The most common question I get is, "Got any names for a boat?" I tell people not to force it- you will know it when it hits ya.

I had a sign shop on a barrier island (NC coast) for about 10 years and one day this old guy came in and wanted me to stop by his house and take a look at a boat. I go by and there are 7 or 8 various sized fishing boats in the yard... He tells me his wife's name is Ruth- and she won't ever get on a boat so he has decided to name his latest acquisition


Ruthless.

 

When i was in Ft. Lauderdale I saw a nice one that read:
