CONGRATS!!!!

Curious - Why are you leaning towards the GTR before complete break in?

Can't wait for complete review.

Okay, I have had more seat time and wanted to provide a further review between the GT-R and the 996TTS.

This is the difference in the cars:

The 996TTS is a traditionalist driver's car. To push the car to the limits, the driver needs experience and training. The driving experience is more physical; the car gives the driver feedback. It requires some skill to push this car the way it was meant to be driven. I feel more connected to the car and it is a more physical experience. I have to actually work at getting the car around, but in a very good way.

The GT-R is built for a driver wants to go all out, out of the box without substantial seat team. It is a car for "dummies." The GT-R compensates for a driver's flaws. Because of all the technology and other unique engineering features, the car can be pushed to the limit without the "feel" that the car is in anyway labored by the effort. You could go about 140 mph without any wheel shake, chatter, or noise; it feels very MBZ S550 like in the cabin at higher speeds. If a true driver gets behind the wheel, the car will make the driver even better; and the car becomes a street legal race car.

I am convinced that the GT-R is the best car that I have ever driven.

CAVEAT TO REVIEW: I do not consider myself a top flight race driver. I am pretty impatient; the GT-R suits that trait.
