Teamspeed's first Godzilla Car - Orlando333's GT-R!
#29
Okay guys
Here is my review:
I have had the car for a day. Here are pics https://teamspeed.com/forums/japa...333s-gt-r.html
No definitive conclusions, but several preliminary observations:
(Preface: this ain't no P-Car v. GT-R fan (or vice versa) fan boy thread; this is just my thoughts)
One -- the GT-R ain't no Porsche in terms of quality and aesthetics. The interior and exterior are all Nissan formula ala 350z etc.
When you sit in the GT-R you do not get that feeling which you do when in a P-Car.
Two -- the GT-R does not have the immediate, wow that if an Fing awesome car. My 996TTs has that wow factor and then some.
Three -- the GT-R has the most advanced technological systems in the world; the electronics measure everything; the engine, tranny, suspension are all controlled by electronics -- which may be a benefit or burden in the future.
Four -- Can't really express too much on HP or performance because I am in the baby mode. I can tell you this -- I beat on my 996 TTS all day yesterday after getting my JIC cross suspension installed; my P-Car is running on rails -- there is no loose feeling. Given the suspension upgrade, I probably will not be able to provide an unbiased comparision between the two cars.
Five -- the 996 TTS is the meaner sounding car; the GT-R, quite frankly, sounds like my old boosted g35. I can't wait to take her on runs to Mexico to see how she really runs
Right now: if I had to choose between the two: P-Car wins, only because I have not opened up the GT-R.
Anyone who wants to see my cars first hand please drop by CARS and COFFEE in Irvine tomorrow.
Will have both cars available.
I would not say over there on the 6, but I am telling, the GT-r is the better car right now; I was firmly in the p-car camp, but the GT-R has my vote
May have to reconsider what car to get rid of
