That interior is ripped right out of an STI. Same pedals, shifter, handbrake, dials. Not a bad thing. Just strange to see it in a 'Toyota'.

I'm going to wait a year and see what changes are made after release. Being a new model, there are always kinks/small changes. For me, it'd be a primary/daily driver so it has to fit the full bill of requirements for me. So far it looks very promising and I'm excited to get some seat time in one. Turbo, a bit lower, and some cosmetic mods (mostly to get rid of those hideous tail lights) and this car looks like it could sing.

Really liking how this is turning out, but I'd love for them to eventually produce a higher output engine. At the price point it looks awesome though.

ticks all the boxes for what it is. should be a smash hit, even in scion guise

that trd supercharger should wake it up, doesn't need much though, balance would be spoiled with too much tinkering methinks.

predict lots of negative intertard assumptions but looks like a sweet spec, shame the asshat scion crowd will ruin so many.

reminds me of a softer ITR with right wheel drive.

At the end there I think he really touches on an important point. He talks about instead of just making the car faster and faster they are making it enjoyable to be driven. This is the point that I think many car manufacturers are missing (Porsche, Ferrari, etc) when they stop building cars with manual transmissions and add a million electronic safety nets. Many would gladly exchange .5 seconds off their lap time for a car that is 100x more fun to drive.

At the same time I understand that building cars this way is not always the wisest business decision as enthusiasts are in the minority. But I hope this car succeeds and turns some heads and maybe makes car companies rethink some things.
