Well from 1999 - 2010 it was the best selling Luxury brand in the USA.

But generally I would say they are bought by conservatives. It's interesting but the demand for used Lexus cars is much higher than new Lexus cars.

New car buyers would rather buy a BMW since its modern, has better technology, is more fun to drive. Used car buyers want Lexus because BMWs break down and cost a ton to maintain once the warranty is up. So this explains why Lexus has much lower depreciation than the other brands - a quality that attracts conservative people.

That said - if this GSh is their future design direction, I'd say they are toast. Its not going to attract the conservative buyer even if it is a good TCO proposition.

Lexus has and will always be leading the way with innovation. Everyone's just finally catching up.

I'm not a fan of the F-line up. If you asked me to pick from F, M, or AMG.......F would be last.

I can understand preferring an M3 or C63 over an IS-F if you've never driven one.

Not really. Mercedes cars have the handling precision of an Opel and the throttle response of a Citroen, and the reliability of a land rover. Basically Mercedes makes cars for old people and taxi drivers.

Lexus makes the kind of cars Mercedes used to be known for - fast, sporty, innovative, well made.

MB is still a solid car, I think the design is getting better. I wouldn't go to that extent.

Just saying IS-F at 60-70k, hmm I might look else where but it's still a dam nice car.
