Paris Hilton gets Lexus LFA for her 30th Birthday...

The LFA is 100x the car a Ferrari California or any Aston Martin is. To profess otherwise merely demonstrates ignorance. The only supercars I would say exceed the LFA today are the 599 GTO, maybe the new McLaren, and that's about it. Even evo magazine, one of the fiercest critics in the biz, said it was surprisingly good and complete.

My dad was right next to me just as interested as I was.

Other than the price tag I don't really have a problem with the LFA. It has an extremely unique look, you will NEVER guess it to be something else coming down the read. The quality is surprisingly good. And the performance is decent. Many mags have said it to be a blast to drive too.

It boggles me how any enthusiast can hate on this car so much! Is it the price? Is it because it's Japanese? Is the the 'low' horsepower rating?
Appreciation for cars have gone in the opposite direction in this new age. The magazine readers are more enthused by the numbers a car produces and technology that completely disconnects the driver from the equation. This is where we are heading guys! To automation and disconnection. This is a problem and the LFA is the solution. It implements the best characteristics of the best supercars from the past and blends it with the Lexus touch into one refined unit. How can anything about this be wrong?

I bet you'd change your mind if you saw it in person. Do you have GT5? If so, pull it up in the virtual dealership and really take a long look at the details. The car is very much function-driven. Sure, it's expensive, but then at the $400K price point, most prospective owners will have as many $200K cars as they want.

Chris, I completely agree that it's a great car in terms of technology and engineering. I even think it looks pretty good (I still hate the front but it's got a sexy ass) but the one thing holding me back from lusting after the car is the price. Maybe it's a moot point since I doubt I'll ever have the kind of coin to buy it, but I just can't get past the price when there are so many other great cars for the same, or less, money.
