Better yet.
Duplicate layer, desaturate completely or just that overbearing color, that's up to you.
Mask the elements you want to keep.
Than you can play with the opacity to fine-tune how much decoloration you actually want.

1. Select the car with magn. lasso tool(minus the windows lights and wheels)
2. Inverse your selection (ctrl+shift+i)
3. Use selective color or hue/saturation to get rid of all the magenta and yellows in the background
4. Select the car again (by selecting your selective color layer then inverse again)
5. Adjust the yellows on the car (less magenta) so it matches the background
