Exhaust and tune is a good way to start. I was just checking out a car that picked up 70 whp from just that. Your warranty, however, would be long gone. The Cobb Accessport is a popular and reliable choice.

Rexpeed has some nice carbon bits for the interior and exterior if you are into that.

Not really too much to change for handling, aside from some wider rubber. Unless you are going to go full-bore with a nice set of coilovers, any changes will have a negative impact on performance as it is so well sorted out of the box. The only weak point is the power which is remedied easily.

Enjoy it, I love mine. I have already put 11,000 miles on mine in 5 months and hasn't even seen the dealer for anything.
do u have any mods on urs?

The dealer offers two tuning packages, one is the FQ330 and the other is the FQ360 I think. I test-drove the 370 and that thing was flying! It's fully warrantied by the dealer as well so it's well worth looking at.

Hamad

Great car, I really like the Evo.

I suggest you talk to Salah Saluhuddin at SMS Design and Performance in Sitra Industrial Area. He has managed to tune a very fast EvoX with minimum budget.

Thanks Hamad, yeah it must be my mid-pipes hitting the count bracket. Bushings usually need adjusting after first installation due to expansion and contraction!

No nothing yet. I was planning on autocrossing it this summer but do not have the time right now. Because of my original intentions, I kept it stock because of the classing rules. Now that it has been put off until next year, I will be tinkering around with it since I can't wait any longer. Also, its fun to beat on the car knowing that I have a full warranty should any problems arise. After my DSG transmission failed on my old R32, it caused me to reconsider my opinion on performance modifications--if you can't afford to replace it, then don't modify it. Since I cannot afford to replace my drivetrain, I am not going to f-around with it (for now).

That being said, over the winter I plan to go the exhaust/tune route. By then I will put new rubber on it also. Additionally, brake pads, two-piece rotors, and Porsche GT3 brake ducting will prepare the car for any track days.

Until I get a second car, I am keeping things basic. I don't want my primary form of transportation to turn into some wacko science experiment that never runs correctly. You have the luxury of tinkering with it and really having some fun as this is just an extra car.

Have fun with it, as I said it is fantastic out of the box but there is a lot of potential as well.

My 2 cents.
