My personal daily driver, FD2 civic type-r
Nothing fancy like many exotics in our shops but I would like to post picture of my new daily driver.
It's boy ricer's dream car, but I would like to share.
Last week, I finally got delivery of JDM CTR after long wait.
The car cost near US$40k after tax and ect.
(Yes it's one expensive Civic.)
Honda told me it was one of last batch of CTR production.
It seems like they are ending the production earlier than what they claimed(end of Aug).
Total production of FD2 CTR won't be over 13,000 unit because mine has serial number of 12269.
So far, I only have put down like 250 miles, I guess I have to drive more to feel this car more into depth.
But I can tell you that the suspension is stiffer than any other car I ever had.(Exige, M3, and ect)
For those who doesn't know much about current version type-r
Engine : 225hp i-Vtec(2.0L) Redline : 8,600rpm
Weight : 2800lb
Trans : 6 speed with LSD
0-60 : under 6 sec.
Brembo brakes, independent front and rear suspension and ect
Anyways...
Here are some quick pictures I took! Enjoy!

This being said, it does look awesome. I'm just naturally skeptical about FWD even in daily drivers ... but I'm sure the engine is a screamer!

With 2800 lbs weight and limited slip differential I believe this car is perfect DD.
Light FWD's are actually fun to toss around corners - even with much less power than what this Civic has
