Reminds me of a warrant I was on with DEA outside of Pittsburgh many years ago. DBIQ (douchebag in question) was an online pharmacist, with a "collection" of cars that included a Viper (red) sitting next to a totalled Viper (blue).
Turns out he paid cash for one on Tuesday, gf totalled it on Thursday, and he paid cash for the second on Friday.
I made the comment "Paying cash for a car isn't a crime."
The Agent I was working the scene with replied "Yeah, but paying $83k for a Dodge oughta be..."

If Lexus sold this for $100K and marketed it as a Corvette ZR1 fighter, they'd have a fighting chance. If they sold it for $225K as an Ferrari 458 competitor, I'd think they were being "cute" for taking on the big boys. But for $500K, WTF are they thinking?!?!?
