Since I've been checking out various possibilities, what do you think? Both cars have mods- GT-R 600hp with suspension mods(4kmiles). GT2 GT700kit plus suspension(10kmiles).

No way, the GT2 looks much better than the GTR and its the last GT2 to come out without traction control and the first water cooled GT2.

No way.

The 996 GT2 is the last of the real raw Porsche.

Turbo RWD with no traction control, or carpet under the seats for that matter.

The GTR is better compared to a 997 Turbo.

I assume the GT2 won`t have any factory warranty anymore,..right?
well...it doesn`t matter, since the GTR does not have it either

I vote for the GT2

Well, it depends what it's primary use will be.

1. DD = GT2
2. DE's = GT2

Well, guess I was wrong.

As someone who has DD'ed the GT2 for the past three years, I will make just one little fineprint.

Do NOT get the one piece factory GT seat. The factory Porsche sports seat with adjustable height and back is a much better way to go.

The one piece seat was pretty nice at Sears Point, but not for DD's.

996 GT2 v GT-R

Wow, thanks guys. Can't say I'm surprised. I tried to be objective and asked the same question in the GT2 section of the other board with the same results as here... How about a trade for a next gen GT3?
