Evos are so much better drivers than STIs... However, you MUST get an unmolested example. Your best bet is an over-30 professional with more than 1 car. Too many kids do all kinds of unsafe (for the car) mods.

Chris' Evo 8 was one of the first properly modded and cared for Evos here in the DC area before the scene really blew up. Now all you have to do is visit sites like DC Evo Club and you can see a fire sale of Evos of all years/models, most by kids that couldn't afford them once they had them, spent stupid amounts of money modding them, and now are parting them out trying to get out from under it.

 

The Evo just became legal in Canada so they are a really hot commodity here.

Update: Found another 2005 Evo VIII online, but once again I missed it by a day. I found an Evo IX MR that I want, but it's a little out of my price range.

If you're spending in the low 20's anyway, why not up the bar a bit and get an X? Much better looking car, IMO.

The STI, especially recently, is one of the ugliest cars I've ever seen.
