About to buy a '09 STI
What feedback can you(sti owners or have driven before) give me? I had a dilemma about STI vs Evo X but almost decided to go with STI, because I think Evo X is more like a german car now. It seems (and it is) heavy. Even when you close the doors you can feel that. Subaru seems like much more fun to drive. I'm not only into getting a straight line performance, my aim is to have a perfectly fun but also powerful daily drive. It's gonna be modded, it's needless to say
opinions?
thanks.

I'm with Chris on this one. The new Evo is freakishly ON!! And it's not like you'll see yourself on every single street corner. OTOH, it seems to me that there are WAY MORE tuner parts easily available for the STI. (NOTE that I said "EASILY AVAILABLE").
But if it was my $, I'd spend the money on a used C4S for 'bombing' around. Used C4S, brand new EVO/STI.........yup, the EVO/STI is probably faster, but you're gonna mod whatever you get anyway. Where you stop modding, only you'll know. I know what I'd do......
911 C4S, it's the perfect complement to your 997 turbo!
EDIT - just realized that you're in Turkey. All of the above is based on my observations of vehicle numbers and pricing of the North American cars and aftermarket accessories. (both new and used). I have no idea of what you'll be dealing with in regard to those issues overseas.
Nice looking 911 you've got by the way

Let's see - the Evo outhandles the STi by miles, looks better, is easy to tune (i.e. bolt-ons and a reflash = 100whp). I could go on for days... But what do I know? I'm just repeating what every STi owner I know has told me: "I should have bought an Evo."

Yup. As long as you're comparing the Evo X and not the more limited version......
Top Gear did an hilarious review on these Top Gear EVO X vs. WRX STi- Video
Those two choices, I reiterate, like Chris, I'd choose the Evo.
But I'd still probably want a C4S instead.......

The new STi is really good but I have always been an Evo fan…
What are you looking to get out of the car?
Both are compact, nimble, economic, fast…
Mods are very much available over the net but who is going to install and tune? Talk to the different tuners you have in your area and see if they can help you out with your decision.
