It's funny I feel like my body has been craving this actually. I usually have a big appetite for red meat. If I go by the blood type books, that's what I'm supposed to eat. But lately I crave veggies and I find when I eat something iffy, I react right away. So I appreciate the advice and it does make sense. Believe me, I'm not one for deprivation. If we go out and I want to have some veal piccata, I'm havin it!

Here's my protein pancake from this morning.

Made with oatmeal, 2egg whites 1 whole egg and 1 scoop protein powder.

You don't think squats or high pulls are a skill lift? I've seen guys improve their back squat 50+ lbs learning to sit back, low bar and push off the heels. I'm just saying if you practice squats for 6 weeks you'll probably get better at squatting more than someone who does KB work.

Regardless, you can do both. I squat, and have a kb in my basement.

Karin, first, no wonder you look like the sister of your daughters. true story.
second, PLEASE teach me how to do that pancake i watched youtube vids but to no avail, and my wife helped me once but in a mixing bowl and it turned out a bit too .. dry

do i put everything in the shaker at once? and from the shaker onto the pan which has been preheated? do i add olive oil to the pan? how does it look so tight and round in your pic, mine was all mushy

I think it's same skill as learning how to properly "clean" a KB honestly

That's all part of it... Doing it properly. But yes I agree on the repetition aspect of course, that's why I like to vary things, but the bigger issue for me is the fact they don't increase the KB weight.

I use them from time to time as well, along with a whole bunch of other stuff. I don't find them to be particularly more useful than dumbbells 50% or more of the time.

Thanks, Ali. I try! To be honest, the pancake was a little dry but it tasted good. I was supposed to add 2-3 tbsp. of water but didn't because it seemed like the eggs were enough. I did it in a mixing bowl with a fork, whipped it pretty good. Next time I'm going to do the eggs first with the powder and water and then just fold in the oatmeal. I'm trying coconut oil now so that's what I used in the pan. It doesn't hurt that my powder tastes like cake batter, lol.

Karin i just tried it, yep it was dry BUT it did 'stick' so i'm happy with that.
2 egg whites, 1 whole egg, 1 scoop whey protein, 1 scoop oatmeal, bit of milk before whipping it. olive oil was on the pan. definitely needed stevia or some sort of flavour and definitely needed to be less dry. i was surprised i could not finish it

what i really want to do is protein brownies

Probably going to get ripped for posting this... At least I know Ali and cstroked will appreciate it.

This is 1 month of results with the LEANGAINS diet. I definitely would say that I'm seeing progress all around. Sorry for being grossly sweaty in the second pic. 6 pack is starting to show better, just need to work on the lower abs a bit more and get rid of some more fat.

Any questions, feel free to ask.
