This year Porsche recalled all GT3 sports car because the engines were catching fire. And now this.

Rumor that fuel cap was put on exhaust which heated and caused spark leading to fire. Seems like a stretch to me, any truth behind this?

Witnesses say the fire began after the gas overflowed and then ignited from the vehicle's exhaust heat.

Might not be Porsches best idea, placing the engine exhaust at that position.
