Porsche 918 Spyder Test In The Valley of Fire

In less then six months official production gets underway for the long-awaited Porsche 918 Spyder, and during the final months of shakedown tests, the 918 Spyder made an appearance in the Valley of Fire outside of Las Vegas Nevada. Lucky for us Porsche has filmed it.

Porsche tells us its engineers have clocked roughly a staggering 1 million miles in the 918 hybrid supercar prototypes.

Observant eyes and ears will notice at around 37 seconds into the video, the 918 takes off under full electric power and then transitioning to its gasoline powered engine, which gives the ears a bit of a treat with a sublime concoction electro-powered noises that turn into the rumbles we all love so.
