I don't want to be disrespectful, but your post is a crazy comment. You need to sit in the pits and deal with strategy and make decisions instantly that are effected by cautions you can only "hope" will happen timely, etc. There are so many factors and things out of your control in 24 hours that decisions can only be made as best as possible. And Porsche is not involved in ANY of those decisions, nor will a team be listening to them. Porsche is only there as a support vehicle to the people wanting to race their cars. I'm shocked people get this impression sitting on the couch watching a race. I could write a 500 page book on just the variables associated with decisions and also the differences in Grand Am rules relating to various cars and HP, etc.
To win this race is special. Very special. It takes 24 hours of good driving and lots of lucky decisions and luck on the track to get to the finish line in first.

What you write is fully correct..and youre completely correct in saying " a 24h race has 500 variables or more"..plus one can have luck or bad luck. But Im not doubting this at all..or?
What I said was just regarding the last-re-fuel. Youre fully correct..afterwards its always easy to complain..but hey..Im a Porsche fan like you..and its a pitty that no podium could be achieved.
Congratulations again to your race..and dont take my previous post too personal..english is not my first language..
all the best,

OK..no worries.
I saw this here - News - Motorsport - Sport & Veranstaltungen - Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG
it seems your position 14 is just not mentioned on the official porsche website..(!)
GT-Klasse
1. Albuquerque/Jarvis/Mortara/von Moltke (MEX/GB/MEX/USA), Audi R8, 678 Runden
2. Bass/Basseng/Rast/Stippler (USA/D/D/D), Audi R8, 678
3. Wilkens/Assentato/Cosmo/Lazzaro (USA/USA/USA/USA), Ferrari 458, 678
4. Balzan/Frezza/Pier Guidi (I/I/I/), Ferrari 458, 678
5. Lietz/Lally/Armindo/Potter (A/USA/F/USA), Porsche 911 GT3 Cup, 678
6. Holzer/Bleekemolen/Faulkner/MacNeil (D/NL/IRL/USA), Porsche 911 GT3 Cup, 678
10. Farnbacher/Baldwin/Burtin/Ragginger/Renauer (D/USA/USA/A/D), Porsche 911 GT3 Cup, 671

13. Lieb/Sellers/Davis/Keen (D/USA/USA/USA), Porsche 911 GT3 Cup, 663
Lieb was one of the fastest guys there..and you and your team made it just behind them..I think teamspeed doesnt know what remarkable success you achieved..
Ah, next year I want to see you on the podium..if youre that close to the proffessional ones..you can do it..

LOL. Sorry. I had one of those weekends you don't like. I was stupid on the night race, and got to grid late. So I friggin had to start at the back in 30th place. I ended up getting about 5th overall and 2nd in class. Wasn't happy. Then I got hit in the first sprint race and we couldn't get the car prepped in time for the second race. I ran a 2:11.5 which was the fastest time of all GTC4 cars by almost a second and close to the track record. I could have beat it with time. Oh well, I enjoyed Florida for the 5th time in the last 2 months.
