another great car not far round the corner will be the new 2014 gallardo, or what ever it will be called, now porsche are involved in developement for the vw group i'm sure that will be on par with the 458, with more wow factor! as you just dont see lambo's, its going to be a brand new car! an aventador passed me on the moterway this week and it still blows me away! it's a toss up on new 991gt3rs or the new lambo for me, after all the issues i had with my 4.0 rs i tempted to have a change, the finishing as i mentionedlast year on the rs was terrible and it should have never left the factory, porsche shouldn't be sloppy on there premium cars and from i understand there were others that had the same issues!

Buy a second hand 458 now and enjoy it, and also put an order in for a 991 GT3. Decide what you want to do when the GT3 comes in. Could be a year until the new GT3 arrives. You'd have all of 2013 to enjoy the 458.
I bought a new 458 and totally loved it. Kept it for a year. Bought a used 2010 GT3 for fun, and totally loving it. The 458 was very refined with explosive performance. The GT3 is pretty raw and athletic. Both are very fun cars.

hi pmpsch,the following
1/ rear spoiler had a clearly visible line along its entire lentgh in the paint prior to the clear coat going on, so it couldn't be polished out
2/the trim strip on the roof forced in so didn't fit flush
3/ dirt under the decals,in more than one place
4/ glue on the alcantara glove box where the exclusive badge was stuck
5/ leather dented on the bucket seats
6/ chipped paint on the door frame
7/ 1/4 inch cut on leather panel which joins seatbelt
8/ scatch on the roll cage, covered with a german product sticker, when valeter removed scatch under it !!
9/ pin prick on dash board,in the leather, looked as though a tool had caught it when the chrono was fitted! not bad for a car that cost £138,000,i had a similar experience with my mark 2 rs, again cage was scatched and paint coming away from the yellow ceramic caliper, waited 2 years for the 4.0 ,major let down, ive been driving gt3 for 10 years now and only pray i'll get the car that is right, maybe i expect to much! love the product but its the cosmetics that let it down not the engineering, very close to the gt3 and sponsor the parr motersport car in the british carrera cup, just hopeing quality control will be better on the new car, ferrari used to turn out these sort of issues but all the 458's ive seen in our dealership look pretty near the mark, are porsche spreading there selves a bit thin with to many varients, all credit to porsche gb they dealt with it very well,at least they value there long term customers!
