Im in the sgv...so basically if i do the flash I pretty much need a clutch? That's weird because on my previous 996tt even up to the 600awhp mark the clutch upgrade was to a gt2 clutch. Well besides the clutch issue, which tune provides the most usable hp and drivability ? Also what's the difference in pricing amongst the various tunes? Can any vendors chime in? Are there any vendors that carry more than one tune ?

Evoms cost around 2800 to 3k. They all cost about the same. I think that without an actual dyno of the same car on the same day with the different tunes, it would be hard to say which gives the most power. I have my reasons for Evoms.
You should talk to the guys in Costa Mesa at RSS. They can do it all for you.
Don't have an explanation for the clutch.

I got 512whp on the dyno, uploaded the tune and ran again and gained 32whp from the tune. Although the clutch didn't slip on the dyno, it was probably already fried, so I'm sure I can get more now with the new clutch.

probably gonna run test pipes along with the tune to keep the beautiful stock titanium mufflers. Hopefully this will up the gain too. Clutch wise any suggestions?

You want to call RSS and ask about all the different options with clutch. They have several different ones that differ in
-single or double flywheel
-aluminum or steel or CF for weight
-strength to handle certain HP, so go about 50hp higher then you expect to mod your car

Other factors to discuss is noise level and rev up speed. These oppose each other, the lighter faster revving clutch will sound like a spoon in your garbage disposal.

I actually used to run that Sachs with a lightweight flywheel on my 700hp 996tt it didn't actually chatter much at all.

I used to run the Giac flash on my old 996 turbo 700hp build but that was Years ago and since then have been out of the Porsche mod game for a long long time.
As discussed we have flashed MC321's GT2, it did require a clutch almost immediately after doing the tune, and I would suggest the same. We use Softronic's tuning services to provide our clients with the easiest flash loading and support system available for the Porsche tuning market. These are not off the shelf tunes, all base maps come directly to us for modifications before being sent back out to you.

We're not in the business of selling parts, instead we offer an experience, from the way the cars perform to our after sales support, if you are up for that, then we are the people to talk to.

If you have any questions just let me know and I will gladly assist you.
