PICS from PIR

I actually love seeing awesome cars with some dirt on them - shows they are being driven and aren't garage queens.
Thanks for the pics, and great looking 3.

more pics...
Rather than start a new thread... here are some more track pics... taken yesterday (6/30) at Pacific Raceways
Porsche motorsports ring and pinion going in by the end of the month!
not bad -- 4 track days in June (2 wet and 2 dry)
now I am back to the 1 or 2 per month schedule for as long as the weather holds...

Dirty cars rule.
PJS, good to see you're using her in a proper manner!
Btw, what's the advantage of having yellow headlights opposed to the regular clear ones? I see it all the time on racing cars but I never quite understood the purpose.

Yellow light skins
I believe in racing when they have multiple classes on the track, one class runs the yellows so in a 24 hour format when you see yellow lights in your rearview mirror at night, you know what class of car is coming... presumably you would be able to tell if the car is faster and if you should get ready to move out of the way... I do not know this for sure but my brain is telling me this so I must have heard it somewhere. I am sure someone with more knowledge will chime in and correct me if I am wrong.
So why the hell do you have them for lapping days?
I mainly have them to protect the headlights -- mine are the headlight armor brand. The lights are roughly $1400 each... so a $100 in skins to prevent damage is an easy choice for me.
Now of course they come in different colors (yellow, clear, blue, smoked, etc) but I just prefer the yellow for looks and for the light it casts at night.
So it is just a personal preference.
I have no idea if they are legal for use in my state but i have not had any issues so far and if a cop got frothy about them, I would simply say that I rarely street drive etc... and it would not be problem to take them off.
I like to think that the lights distract the cops from the fact that I do not have a front plate (required in our state, WA)
