a) engine will go up to 11,000rpm in production car...thats a lot..so a worthy follow up of the c-gt
11.000 rpm very high...the 3.4 v8 rs spyder engine had max power @ 10.300rpm but it was a real race car..
however I'm not suprised if porsche can make 918 engine runs so high

I have heard of three oders from one the biggest Porsche centre ownes in Germany - but I mean that for all his centres he has 3 oders...not so much I would say..since they own most ones in southern germany. But lets see..

$850+ is the new $400k. 8 years ago you had your choice of cgt (400k), enzo (650k), or zonda.

now look again, 918 ($850k), new enzo (1m+), zonda $1m+, mclaren $1m+, koenigsegg $1m+...

The total number of pre-orders for 918 in Germany now stands at about 35 cars according to the contact of mine. I consider its not bad given that real deal isn't even neither launched, nor driven by customers yet.

And yes, they aren't betting on China as a motor of 918 sales. US market is their biggest priority.
