I've always used Mobil 1 synthetic for oil, Motul for brake fluid, and Red Line for trans and diff.

I use to use RedLine in my old drag cars. I hear a lot of people have moved to royal purple with good success. I use Motul in my Rotax Kart (14K rpm for 30-60m sessions).

Yeah, I should've clarified that I've never owned a Porsche but I've run this combination in every other sportscar I've had.

to me it's all the same but i started using 10w60 after owning the F360 (got Shell from the dealer, but ran diff brands in diff cars)
Mobil 1 gets a lot of good rep here
for the Mercs i use Fuchs Titan, the AD here is the dealer for MB so if they use it for SLR it sure as hell is good enough for my R129s and 55

Interesting. I've had my 993 4.5 months and I've been running Mobil 1. Mine runs warm in traffic (obviously), but has run below the thermostat hash on the highway, even in this recent heat wave, except for one time: After a 300-mile road trip (all interstate), it ran a bit warm (just at the hash rather than below) in mid day 90+ temps coming back into Atlanta. Still, no concern for me.
