Funny you say that.....i recently read on this very forum that pccb were ultimatly better for daily useage and steel for track as they are so much cheaper to replace after heavy track usage.....pccb obviously perfect for track but still have to replace them at hefty cost....

Tha gt3 im looking at has pccb, 991 would obviously be steel....
Ill have to test them and partly in traffic, i cant make up my mind....

Porsche makes another car besides the GT3?

Wear out all the girls you want in life, until it's time to marry. Then get the GT3.

yeah i read that same thread lol.. but friends of mine at the porsche dealer say that pccb actually screeches alot in traffic (correct me if im wrong) and such especially if you're in a place with cold weather. i personally have never owned a car with pccb but i obviously i would want them on my car, i just meant in the interest of saving money i would go for the steel rather than ceramic. but if money's not an issue than no question haha. either way, cant go wrong.

what u read is right - from the cost perspective.

love PCCB. if u can, it's a must. i'd want to spec it on my 991. just trying to justify the additional 8k.

even the steels on the gt3 screech like crazy, as for ceramic vs steel, steels for the track and ceramics for the street, ul prbably never need to replace the ceramics if you dnt track

gt3 vs 991 if you dnt track and live in a place with boring roads like where i do ul never understand why the gt3 is so special, it only makes sense when pushed hard on twisty roads

if your using it for daily comute in conjested areas then the 991 is your friend, its also a fantastic car

Old debate, GT3 is not the best street car but alot of fun when you do drive it.

I love everything about the Cayman, but that engine really lacks the grunt of the C63 so id like something, hummmm, more aggresive...

Should I get myself a 997.2 GT3 w/ pccb and all the works (i DON'T do track, don't plan on doing so this summer and probably not next summer either) OR a 991 S????

Both are similarly priced although I should have a better deal with the gt3. Both are as fast as it gets with different driving experience. Driving the gt3 to work will be a pain vs the 991. Can't drive around with the kids in the GT3. My salesman at Porsche said he expects the 4S next summer, no word yet on 991GT3 arrivals (even if its everywhere on the web and spyshpts and al) so 997 GT3 will probably hold value fairly well for the next year or so.

What all you Porsche fans/drivers think?
you have actually gien the answer to your question in your first post

get a 991S or a 997TT

or wait for the C4S (launch over here by nov/dec)
