For me I would see no reason to buy a car less than or even equal to my RS 4.0. I need a major step up for the 4.0 RS to bite. Porsche has set the bar high with the RS 4.0 for sure.

Right. I have the same expectation! What we see here is fine for the GT3. But do you consider a PDK as an upgrade from your RS 4.0? Personally I would expect for the new RS a better chassis - the 991 base for the new 2013 Super Cup car will do- but for the gearbox I do not know... may be a civilized version of competition gear box with a paddle shift but I doubt that the current version of the PDK will do it for me for track usage. Will see.. They will come up with something.

i honestly think the manual will be there. why not? it doesn't cost them anything to put the manual in there since it's already available. the big question is if the PDK will be available. looks like it will happen.
