4.0 Akrapovic
Today I installed Akra exh system in the 4.0 and the quality and fitment is the best I had in all my life.
The sound is nice still haven't rev the engine since the car is almost new.

Also I installed cf exhaust surround protector very cool part..

Tempted to do the same with mine but am told this might impact warranty. Is this in line with what you guys hear?

An oil change at a non-OEM dealership/workshop will void your warranty - so yes a new exhaust won't help you in case you ever need to make use of warranty.

My dealer is fine with Akrapovic exhausts. They won't affect my warranty here.
FWIW, another member here has an evolution system on his car and it sounds amazing!

Installing an exhuast shouldn't affect ones warranty. My M3 is certainly no 4.0, but all the Evo system did to my car was throw an increased emissions light, which was corrected by a simple ECU flash.

it really depends on your specific dealer....

but when things go totally wrong and your dealer needs permission for getting an exchange part (engine etc ) from the HQ you are fvcked
or he gets the permission without mentioning anything being modded on the car...which my dealer did
