Akra's fine Michael. Well done. M&M's OK. I've tried it, but, Akra's #1!

Hi schmitz gstaad,

Congratulations to your beauty...I just have a "basic" 3.8 GT3..

Coming to the warranty: what you write is the official Akropovic website statements..however, the official Porsche Guidelines are clear. Any non original part = loss of warranty. I have discussed this with many Porsche centres already. However, there are some Porsche centers that would accept a changed exhaust, on top, here in this case you are replacing the original supplier with another orginal supplier part...thats maybe a bit in the grey zone.

The sound may be better - but does it also gain real horsepower?

I agree however that an Akra is the best sound machine availble..even an a GT3 3.8 its already "music in my ears"..and yes they are expensive but somehow they are woth their money. At least the sound is better compared to cargraphic, etc.

take care of the beast

I've had my car into the dealer multiple times with aftermarket parts, so far never any problems with warranty. Like others have said, really depends on how close you are with dealer.

Back again, like mentioned before the quality and fitment of this Akra system is like nothing else I had sound is also great.I have the system that has headers, cats,no side mufflers and rear silencer.
BTW in terms of power you gain more with the non side silencers and also loose weight.
The CF piece is perfect.

What reflash Akra recommends ?

Not sure. Somebody mentioned it in a thread, but that might have been regarding a different mark. Ferrari or Lambo maybe.

I am going to install the race Akropovic setup this week. Hopefully it won't be too loud to live with. If it becomes too laud I will add the side mufflers. All parts showed up about couple weeks ago, and I am ready to get it installed. Orbit Racing helped me source most of the parts I needed for this, but what I am really looking forward to, is the weight savings. The build quality is unbelievable, absolutely worth every penny.

Senna, you don't have that thing bolted on the car yet? man o man what are ya waiting for?!?!

I'm driving the GTS over to Orbit to have them look at a alignment issue and to hopefully source some adjustable sway bars for the GTS

Story of my life, Orbit had to order some special parts for me from Europe. It only took 10 days, now on my way to Gavin's shop this week. I visited Orbit this pass week, amazing shop. World Class for sure.

Vortex in Tampa is fully capable of installing an exhaust...much quicker and shorter drive than Ft. Myers. I'd do it for you this week at my house but I'm out of town a lot.
