LOL. No clue why you have trouble. We have speed alarms but you set the speed yourself. I always set mine at 100 mph. I say send me the car and I will fix it for you.

No, in the Middle East, most cars have a stupid buzz above 120km/h that you can't remove yourself.

Crazy to have that on a 4.0, I know.

true..the alarm is on top on the one you can specify on the PCM (that you can set as you rightly point out GTcole).

Dubai specs indeed but we tried changing the country specs (as they are pre set in the car's computer - i.e. you cannot just go to speed alarm and disable it) to various countries including germany just to try it out...ding ding ding went the alarm.

testing it after each attempt was fun as I could reach 120kmh in the dealers back road (while I am still breaking the car in and shifting a 4-5k rpm )

Will give Alex a call and see. The dealer here has tried to help out in any way by trying it on another car (which worked). The issue is the 4.0 litre

Mine is the same, waiting for Porsche to come back to me on the issue.

That's crazy. It's a track car. I guess there are stupid rules no matter where you go.

What is sillier is that Porsche has not clue how to disable it!

Haven't heard of it being disabled and anyway, with a RS engine screaming a couple of feet behind me, I really don't get to hear it.

Weird.. my GT2, Escalade, Z3M, SRT10, and I don't remember what else didn't continuously beep. Some just beep once at 120, others don't make a sound. My wifes merc is the only pain in the ass.

Seems that this is the new standard in the UAE. This being said the problem is limited to the RS 4.0 A friend just got delivered a 991 S and had it removed in a sec.
