Surprised by that first run, the second run is what I was more expecting. I'd take the 4.0 all day. Thanks for sharing.

first run was from a dead stop, and the RS got on the throttle first. light weight + short gearing did the rest.

agree, 2nd run was more representative, and had they kept at it a bit longer, the Audi would have pulled away.

and yes, RS 4.0 any day! (lucky R8 driver also owns a 4.0!)

Nice pull. Great pull if you consider the semi auto gearbox vs the manual box of the RS.

Great runs and two awesome machines. I prefer the 4.0

Last thing - how do you guys get silky smooth, dual lane highways, all to yourself?!
I wish we had conditions like that here

looked like a smart place to hammer out a race too, dual lane up bridge where no cops could be sitting on the side. Loved that road. looks soo perfect, Mike s is right
