i saw the first rough edit last week... everyone's off for the holidays, so it probably won't be out til early/mid January.

will post it up once its all done.

unfortunately, we didn't have any formal in-car shots of the races, and it didn't make sense to mix grainy, shaky phone-cam footage with the hi-res footage.

FWIW, here's a shot of me (in the Ruf) racing my buddy's DMS-tuned 997 GT2. not sure what the rated HP on the GT2 is. you can clearly see the advantage of the VTG's on a rolling start, not to mention the lighter weight and shorter gearing.

the GT2 jumps way ahead from the start, around 2+ car lengths (though not clear on this video).

its not really false modesty though, coz i knew if i said "Mile" event, then people would probably start asking what the fastest cars were doing. and for sure nothing here would have given any of the Texas of Mojave Mile monsters any trouble at all.

though yes, it was a pretty good turn out!
