Chicken Coupe...
Time to wire in some of the new hardware (SQS and Shift Light).

First we have to remove the rear interior trim and carpet to access the wiring loom, from there the real fun begins.

Finger Licking Good...

Making progress on "The Colonel", here are a few quick images of the sequential shifter components being installed under the car...

The unit is assembled directly onto the gearbox.
An electromagnetic support is employed as soon as the unit is brought out of neutral-idling range has been placed between each gear.

Safe and quick shifting capabilities are the result.
In addition, a microprocessor control unit is installed on the passenger side with slight modification to the shifting block.

Gear changes that are fast and safe result from the design.
The shifter requires hardly any getting used to: the traditional H-pattern gear scheme is replaced with a fixed, linear gear scheme.

Shifting up is as simple as pull and downshifting depressing the gear lever. The built-in electromagnetic support is employed automatically upon shifting above neutral and the desired gear engaged. Shifting times are programmed according to engine speed.

The employed gear is shown on a readable and dimmable digital display installed on the instrument panel."R" representing the reverse gear, "O" the neutral or idling range and the numbers "1" - "6" the engaged gear.

We'll post more images as we continue...

Is it just me or would that chicken head make a cool shift knob?
