GT2 has launch control - switch off all the traction aids, foot down on the gas and clutch, RPM goes to 5k then let go of the clutch. Not sure about the 2RS.

They should do a rolling race as well, but I'm still surprised the GT2RS didn't make up some ground down the line.

Launch control shown here (min 2:40):

Both GT2 and GT2RS have a launch control.

Oh, okay! Anyhow, I'd still rather have the GT2RS over the MP4-Computer.

^^^^This...

And yes, would love to see a rolling start...
My 2RS vs a friends TTS did nothing of the line... not even rolling (60ish Km/h)
But any start around the 100/105 Km/h the TTS did not stand a chance
Like most reviews of the 2RS state, the truly expressive performance is in 3rd to 4th and into 5th gear

Looking back in my Car and Drivers mags, I found where they tested the GT2 rs, Mclaren, and 458. GT2 rs 1/4 was 11.1 seconds at 133 mph, Mclaren was 10.7 seconds at 134 mph (no mile run). The test Clarkson did was far off, yeah the Mclaren won but not as much as Clarkson showed. He has never been a fan of Porsche anyways.
