2012 Porsche 911 GT3 RS 4.0 PTS Ltd. No.181/600 Factory Collection
#78
Hello Teamspeed
thanks again for the compliments.
My first trip from Switzerland to France was full of rain. So I didn't show you
pictures of my dirty 4.0.
I arrived in Dijon with my new GT3 RS 4.0 to pick up my custom made
racing suit from stand21.
Thanks to Roya Behiar and Jörg Senlaub stand21.de in Germany

There are more than 20 000 embroidery programs in the Stand 21 database.
Sometimes you need 3 or 4 programs for the same logo in different sizes.

Drawing for the racing suits pattern is made through a computer program
thanks to the different precise measurements from the driver.
Embroidery programs are archived on paper for direct checking at the
workshop as well as on numeric files.

9-head embroidery machines allow embroidery of very complex logos as well as
fine simple 1-colour logos.

Several units of multiple machines in a row allow the embroidering of racing
suits series with the same quality and look.

Embroideries can be done in a frame to produce patches.

A lot of fireproof material colours are available to make special designs.
Here are some of the fabric rolls available at the factory.

Fabric is cut on this table, following the drawings made by computer to
produce the different parts of the racing suit.

Some signatures of satisfied famous or more anonymous customers you can find
on the walls of the workshops.

Assembling of a Porsche Motorsport racing suit.

Assembling of my custom racing suit

Connection between two parts of a design is something delicate.

Extra-thread is "searched and destroyed".

Folding of my racing suit.

Packing of my racing suit.

A large stock of Madeira® embroidery thread must be at disposal to produce
logos with accurate colours.

The moulds on the helmet workshop. Inside them are manufactured some of the
most performing helmets shells in the world.

Material rolls used for helmets construction. Kevlar (yellow) is nearly no
more used. The shells of new generation of Stand 21 helmets are 100% carbon.

A bunch of cut out raw shells.

Official Porsche Motorsport Collection painted shell, ready to be assembled.

Raw shells, directly out of the oven, not cut out.

Some souvenirs from the past in a corner of the stocking area.

A lot of products awaiting to be shipped around the word or picked up at the
shop...

A glimpse at the HANS® assembling unit.

A part of HANS® range in the showroom.

Some samples of special gloves (Special production is available from two
pairs).

A view in the showroom.

The boots corner (stock and special).

Me and my new racing suit
Because of the rain in France I didn't went to a track day in Monza Italy.
I'm so sorry but no pictures!

I went back to ANT Performance in Fribourg Switzerland and did a small service at 1.800 km.
Changing Mobil 1 motor oil and transmission oil.
Alain Neuhaus changes also the OEM exhaust to
Akrapovič Evolution exhaust system for Porsche 911 GT3/RS/RS 4.0 (997 FL)
The Akrapovič Evolution aftermarket exhaust system is based on the same layout as the original exhaust system of the GT3 with valve control. A newly developed exhaust manifold with 100 cpsi sports catalysts guarantees an increase in power and torque, as do the newly developed and optimized pre mufflers. But the real plus of this exhaust system is the weight reduction of 17 kg*, while it maintains the original layout and functionality of the exhaust caps.
Performance
The weight distribution of the vehicle is improved considerably, because of that weight reduction in the area behind the engine and the rear axle, which has a positive effect on the handling. The limit range of the vehicle adjusts upwards and so a higher transverse acceleration is possible. The combination of improved power to weight ratio (through an increased efficiency of 12 HP*), torque progression by 14 Nm*, and the positive effects in connection with driving dynamics enhance the performance of the GT3 distinctively. The sound impression in this configuration is somewhat more voluminous and with opened caps way more aggressive than in the original version.
Evolution system:
titanium sports manifold system with integrated 100 cpsi catalysts
titanium pre mufflers
titanium link pipes with exhaust valves
titanium end muffler
titanium tail pipes
Hard facts:
plus 12 HP* (at 5.510 rpm)
plus 14 Nm* (at 5.740 rpm)
minus 17 kg*
Optional:
Rear carbon fiber lip

Well done Alain. The result is awesome. More power than I expected. That was a good investment. Probably the best investment for RS 4.0
Thanks for watching

One of the best looking cars, helmets, and racing suits I've ever seen! First track day you have, make sure to get pictures of you with your suit and helmet on in front of the car! Everything matches so well it looks like it's from a video game!
