Wow what a beast! I was taken out in one when I visited Alois Ruf in Pfaffenhausen Germany - was a baby blue one -- Ruf test driver scared the heck out of me! RUF Rt12 -- My afternoon in Pfaffenhausen (1) - YouTube

Tell me is Jacky still around at the Texas dealership? I met him many many years ago on a trip he made to Bahrain for the F1 races. Great guy.
Either way congrats on the sweet ride and enjoy in the best of health.

That is probably the most desirable car in the world, it is in my book, congrats with that fine example. That is really something els.
We have visited RUF two times over tha last 10 years, on our annual sportscar trip Intansivetour. Its just the most exiting place i have ever been, not bu size, not by glamor, but pure craftsmanship and engineering to a level that is out of this world, it is unbelievable.
Thay do make conversions, the last time we where there the was two GT2 in the shop they where waiting for at RT12 engine conversion, they do alot of this.
The biggest part of RUF is there restoration garage, not many know this, but RUF can restore almost anything, mostly classic Porsche and they manufacture what they cant find the self. Some of the 356 waiting for restoration looked like they have been in all the wars there has been around the world since they where born. My thought was that´s not going to end well, but i was pulled aside to see pictures of a car looking much worse and after that taken to another part of the shop to see a car looking like its just been build brand new and that was that very car on the pictures. I tell you these people at RUF is a league of there own.
So when RUF build a Car like the RT12 its build as good as it possible can get. That just extreem when Porsche them self doing magic to these cars back in Zuffenhausen, well RUF just doing alittle more over in Pfaffenhausen ;-)
