My first mod - Hint: Switzer Tune
#81
i don't pretend to know at what power level the stock clutch starts having issues. i know someone with a stock GT2RS and he overheated his clutch-- turns out he was a clutch driver and had a bad habit of keeping his foot slightly on the clutch.
NOT saying its your fault or its a driver issue. just that there are many variables.
again, good luck and keep us posted!

1) Removal / Re-install of the ECU. (Simple job - got it done neatly).
2) Exhaust Installation. (Simple job - got it done neatly).
3) Dyno testing. (simple Job - couldn't do it right and, did something like 3- 4 while the car was in a limp mode so got it all wrong and that was the only thing i was upset with and didn't like! specially that i wanted to do a before & after dyne runs... and they got the before runs all wrong. Other than that.. they seemed to know what they are doing from a mechanical point of view.

100% bad clutch. Just buy a stronger clutch and upload the tune again and the car will will be perfect! There is nothing wrong with the tune, Porsche clutches are just not that strong, i have aftermarket clutch in my tuned GT3 and it works perfect.
When going for bigger HP than stock a stronger cluch is always a good thing, in any car.

Is your warenty officially void by the Dealer yet?
if it is then it seems like your options are extremely limited...
This is the the main and only thing that I have been worried about before tuning up my GT3... I really know how you feel.
whether you decide to replace your clutch with a stock one or upgrade it with a more powerful one (more preferable), the ideal solution is to take it to the dealer .. big bill, void warranty.
I would really like to be posted with the update of your situation as this will apply to myself when i start to have any kind of a problem with my car.

I assume you will be heading down this path since I read your post about the battery charger
Sayyar, I'm in the process of ordering a stronger clutch.. just need to figure out the install.. once you drive it tuned, its very hard to go back.. I have voluntary extended warranty on my car so I'd rather have it done by the dealer..

The dealer will easily find out about your upgrade man... the minute they link their system to your ECU then the FIRST thing they will do is to come and tell you that your warranty is over.. Dead...
i think that you should install the clutch at the dealer... you can pay them to install the upgraded clutch and they will only charger you for the labour coast which they have to quote you for first.. its the safest solution.. but the only bad thing about it is bye bye warranty i guess....

I still didn't have time to do it yet.
