MC321 , my car did the EXACT same thing.
it's your clutch. i am almost 100% certain.

after 4k the car is on full boost and it jumps to redline, but the car is barely accelerating right ?

thats the clutch brother !

Does it happen only when you're running a tune or stock as well? I just tracked my car for the first time on the stock tune and it ran perfectly all day. The car has 4k miles on it and has never ever been driven hard until I tracked it. If it was the clutch there would be signs under all circumstances.

I've had my M Coupe for 11 years and I've never changed the clutch.

The clutch is slipping due to the increase in torque from the tune.

Then how come it doesn't do that on the first day on the tune upload? and why doesn't the clutch slip when I floor it starting second gear instead of third? it only happens in third and fourth gear, and about 75% of the time. I'm not a mechanic, but it doesn't sound consistent.

Either way, why does an off-the-shelf basic tune cause the clutch to slip? I wouldn't mind a milder tune with less torque so the car would run reliably.

You mod one thing on these cars then something else needs attention and once you've done that, another thing needs an upgrade and so on and so forth.

Clutch temperature can vary the holding capacity. 2nd gear does not load the car as hard as 3rd and 4th gear.

A simple datalog would greatly help pinpointing the issue.

it doesnt do it on the first day because as you re-flash the car, it takes a day or two to get the full amount of power from the chip.

i have UMW software on my car (approx 500rwhp, and a TON of torque).
the gt2 clutch that you have in your car is the same as in a turbo (not a very strong clutch).
