that's not fiction; numerous studies have proven it.
I will not derail any further than to say the following: I will bet one dollar those studies prove "penny wise, pound foolish" type of behavior doesn't create happiness. Then there is just plain foolish. Experience and my contacts tell me the people who don't care didn't make it on their own.. Generally those people have lower self worth given that productivity leads to happiness (statistically supported in as well).

Just my two cents maybe not even worth that. Anyone who gets a 4.0 will surely be thrilled with it!

Is there a count on how many PTS cars there will be yet?

Those that pay over for cars, art, etc, usually tend to nickel and dime elsewhere (investments, projects, managing their business) to cover premiums spent on luxury/ emotional items.

There are still plenty of ppl in this Country that the market being down doesn't effect their life one way or another.

But ya, I'm not happy either LOL

True, but there are fewer of them now than 2 weeks ago
More importantly, this kind of adjustment (now -515 pts for the day !) gives people pause when not only buying a purely discretionary vehicle but paying over MSRP for it. When you're up +8% YTD (ie, 5/31)you don't mind another $15k to get what you want. When you take a 10% bath in 2 weeks, well that's another story. And yes...my dividends, Muni's and shorts ARE making me feel a little better today....
