GT2RS slower than 458 on-track?
the big news in this test is of course that the new Mclaren didn't live up to promise.
note the factory said the car had problems with its suspension on the day (which opens up a whole can of worms)...
but the point is that the GT2RS was marginally slower than the 458.
what do you guys think is going on?

note: test says GT2 but its really a 2RS

and final disclaimer by Mclaren:

of course, great comments on the Porsche from the driver... something we all already knew (its the only car in the group in which you could do hard laps all day long)

You know what I think? I think the 997 department is getting to a point where they can't keep track of which engine and chassis belong to what body in their lineup anymore, so it was really just a 997 C4 in a GT2RS body, and nobody bothered to double check.

It depends on the track gents , some of our uk track are very different to what you get in the states . It is the case that some tracks favour certain cars and their characteristics .
All I have read indicates the GT2rs would be faster round most tracks .( just look at the ring times for example )

EXACTLY ! Also if I may add a race driver would prefer a race car .
