Have you looked at the options sheet for a 997 lately? Look at the 997 Speedster for example which comes with every option under the sun for $205,000 USD which is about $120-125k over the price of a standard C2S cabrio (I forgot what the MSRP is). Factor in the MSRP of a base GT3 RS and then add all those options, then $185k isn't that far off the mark. So, whether or not you think it's a rip off or not...well, I'm fairly sure that it isn't if you think like Porsche does. It makes sense though for the exact reasons I stated earlier.

Forget about reading the beginning of the thread. It is what the dealer quote that matters. Confirmed that the car will sell at $211k CDN (my mistake for the CAD). Excluding taxes.

How long until these come available as aftermarket parts? Something tells me we'll see a temporary trend of 911 & GT3 owners that track regularly wanting to add them to their cars.
Of course, they would just make me look like a moron by putting them on my 911...but that's a whole other story
