just wanted to re-visit the thread and say how ridiculously ugly that 997 is.

 

I like them both. It's hard to go wrong with any Ruf. But the red Turbo R might be my all time favorite car. Looks perfect!

 

KMY you have two stunning cars! RUF makes some of the finest cars on the planet. Hopefully you have been able to go visit the factory? Regardless drive them in good health and enjoy their beauty

Unfortunately I've never been to the factory in Germany but I hope to see it one day. I hear the parking lot is always a fun place to spend time! I just missed the chance to meet Mr. Ruf recently out here in SF. Hopefully next time he's in town I'll get him to sign my dash.

Just to clarify, the Roadster isn't mine. Not that lucky! The 993 is the only RUF in my garage... at least for now! :-)

you just gave me a neg rep because i said the ruf targa was absolutely the most hideous embodiment of a 997 that any of my 5 senses have experienced.
however, the comment was interesting. you said "you have an ugly car, and silver is so plain".
yes i agree with you on BOTH counts.
my car is EXTREMELY ugly (compared to even a standard 997 turbo). but the ruf targa is silver as well, just a heads up.
