What's new in this release other than a few speculated paint colors? Other than that, great info for whoever hasn't read it yet.

 

I bet paint to sample will jack up the price at least another $10k...

Is Porsche going to be turning a profit with this car or will it be like a Bugatti where VW loses money on everyone they make?

 

Porsche would love to make money on this car, but I just don't see how they can sell 918 of them?

 

I still have my doubts about this car. IMO, the carrier gt is more appealing to me as far as what the ultimate street legal car should be. But I hope I change my mind after seeing a 918 with my own eyes.

 

I went to dealership yesterday and they got the order package day before.
Nothing new about what is going on except there is rumor that Asia excluding Japan and China, got only 14 alocations.
14 is too small a number to begin with but thats what they told me.
Will decide if I put my money down next week but I fear 918 is the cheapest hyper car to get among other 'future' choices.

Also, if the car arrives, since Korea is too small in terms of market size, there will be no seperate service system in place.
Either one sends car to Porsche or tech people will fly in. I can sense looooong service time.
