The GT2RS is a beast, cannot imagine the handling of a GT3RS with that much power...fantastic.

I was talking with a colleague at work yesterday trying to explain the handling of the GT3RS...such an incredibly well sorted car and it invites hooliganism at every corner

Jas, I agree with you that a lot of videos/articles I've seen have the Enzo edging the CGT by a small margin.

Also agree with other comments that because the Enzo's Okuyama design was very of-the-moment in 2002, it hasn't aged as well, style-wise, as the more conservatively designed CGT.

Here's an old video that had just the right conditions to favor the Stuttgart boys:

I dont want to get into a which car is faster debate . However , in the interests of accuracy I think its only fair to point out that only track times in the same conditions with the same driver count ( when the cars times are so close ). I can find random times from different drivers all over the www.

I know of only 4 direct , same day, track and driver head to head CGT and Enzo comparisons .

1 black falcon tested a ( plus 10 droplink , not ideal ) carrera gt against an enzo , zonda and ksegg . The enzo was a couple of seconds faster ( incidentally the driver destroyed the CUSTOMERS ksegg!!)
2 evo magazine did an ultimate trackday event . where an enzo , cgt and f1 mclaren were put against each other ( among other cars ) at exactly the same time with the same drivers .( this test is available on the evo website i believe ) .
The GT came on top in that case ( enzo 3rd behind f1 ) .
3 An american mag did a top speed and handling test where the Enzo was noticeably faster in the acceleration tests but slower in track/handling test .
4. sean edwards tested a cgt and an enzo at silverstone with data and the cgt was about a second faster .

( there are a few quotes from walter rohrl but i dont count them as it is unlikely to be biased ).

My conclusion from all this is that when times are so close it comes down to the driver and the track ( which favours which ) , ironically ( as the enzo is so much easier to use ) would make the enzo faster in the hands of the majority of people .

Of course as RufMD so accurately pointed out , this does not include the cgt's suspect tyres

Honestly I don't think it would be fair to compare a cgt on new tires to the enzo, and correct me If I'm wrong, but isn't the enzo on older tires too? Update both and I'm sure Whatever is faster now will still be faster after the updated tires.

At its core, it's a simple case of power, weight, suspension, and aero.

The Enzo has a better power to weight ratio, so in a straight line at low speeds, it's got an advantage, as long as traction isn't an issue, at which point it's all about who has better traction control.

At higher speeds, the Enzo probably has an advantage due to aero, an area where Ferrari are just that little bit better than Porsche. Better use of underbody work to generate downforce without the drag penalty.

Porsche has the advantage in suspension design, so on handling terms, that, along with their fanatical approach to lowering the centre of gravity, would mean that the CGT probably has a tad more mechanical grip.

The differences are relatively minor, though. The N-ring time for the Enzo probably has a lot to do with high-speed downforce and top-end acceleration. At tracks with a lower average speeds, CGT wins.

Basic Physics.

F40 (also called Fiat 40 ) is neither timeless or a Masterpiece in my opinion, great investment anyway, congrats!
