V TACH is an unknown quantity at this point
I daily drove an Exige S and really liked the car overall.

PROs: Very fun, relatively economical, rare, and as exhilirating as anything that costs 3 x times the price.

CONs: Small--you don't want to drive this car frequently if you normally carry a passenger. Build quality is relatively poor so expect many more rattles, etc over your 911. Getting in and out (especially if you're carrying a laptop, etc) gets a bit old. I weigh only 150lbs so it wasn't too bad.

Overall, I would much rather daily drive my RS over the Exige--mostly for the added space and build quality, but for the money the Exige was a darn good option (I paid $38k for an '07 Black Exige S with 8k miles).

You were the one being a smart as$. I simply made the point that you did not read the OP's post because he wanted to simplify and you were mentioning exotics that will cost more than the cars he is selling in both up from cost and maintenance. Then you made a post, "OOK (use your eyes) to read his signature" insinuating that I am blind, and implying that I was not smart enough to look at his sig and determine what he wants. The irony is that I made the best possible alternative choice for him given his specific requisites.

FINE, this forum is all about difference of opinion on the issues presented in the thread. But, as always you have to take it one step to far and insult me saying I shouldn't talk because I don't know what the hell I'm talking about and just leave it to you. So I can't have an opinion for the OP? Moreover you neg rep me saying I am a child and I need to grow up. That, I cannot stand. Why the personal attacks? What makes your opinion better than mine? I worked at a car dealership for 6 years, part of that time in the finance department, does that allow me to speak? Oh, I don't own a lotus or a porsche, so I can't comment; well neither do you, remember, you SELL them. I have spent time driving most of the cars mentioned in this thread (save for the ferraris/lambos), surely I am not able to have an opinion. I think I speak for a lot of people when I say you need to knock off that misguided sense of superiority you seem to have.

Is your new policy to be demeaning to everyone? I didn't get the memo but I was unaware someone died and you were crowned the most knowledgeable member here.

New attitude must be great for business. I hope your boss/dealer principal - or PCNA for that matter - doesn't read this.

I wonder how many of these people you insult and attack could write a check for a 918 or any of your cars out of their bank account or trust fund... Hmm

Stoppie, you say you paid attention to his buying habits, which have all been Porsches, but then you suggested a plethora of other cars other than Porsches, which shows you really didn't pay to much attention. No big deal.

Calm down guys, it's just the internet.

Thought I was the only one to notice.

Chris, nearly every thread you come in lately makes me want to put you on ignore. Recent trend, too. WTF, man? No one here pissed in your cereals.

doesn't work that way. Lotus, especially Elise/Exige, is a toy. when it becomes a daily it will be very painful. however, if u are talking about simplify ur life financially then it makes sense, but Exige S still doesn't make a good option. maybe a Boxster Spyder or Cayman R.

just pointing out the obvious. don't ban me from buying a car from u. LOL!
