What Chris said. And I don't consider any 911 to be "exotic", or even "super-".

..... Unless, of course, you mean the 997 Exotic Edition, which is very exotic and limited.

Lol ok fair enough. I knew it was shaky territory. Totally in agreement that these definitions are more than a bit subjective. But be it as it may, most "rags" seemed to qualify the two cars in different brackets. I just wanted to see if you guys did as well.

Alluding to Chris' point, it seems like they should both live in the same bracket. I guess that's my main point. I'm confused as to why they are not.

My intention wasn't to spark the exotic-vs-supercar-vs-not debate. Not at all. Ah well, if this is too close to one of "those" topics then just bag it. I'll prob end up getting a GT3 RS when the time comes anyway. (no time soon) Exotic or not, the GT3 RS seems like more usable fun from an outside observer's perspective).

since GT2 depreciates more than GT3RS, PLEASE don`t put the two cars in the same category.

The only "exotic" Porsches are the 959 and the CGT. The rest are either sports cars or supercars.

A 911 is an exotic in Idaho, but not in DC., etc. etc. If you are trying to be definitive, then there are very few true exotics: Veyron, Zonda, Koeniggsegg, Enzo, F40, F50, Carrera GT, Lambo SV, etc. The rest are all sports (or super) cars.
While I agree with what you have I think it needs to come down to price points as well. Depending on where you live you might have a neighborhood full of Exotics listed above. Does this make them not Exotic? Maybe we throw into your definition Chris whether or not someone has the ability to actually drive one. I would guess that you will see more Ferrari's and Lambo's in certain demographics but it still won't change the fact that 99.99999% of the people in the world will never ever drive one and even less own one. So this I would guess would make it exotic as well.

I don't think of any 911 as an exotic because Porsche I believe ruined this with the 25 variants. I would consider that new Mid-Engine they are talking about as an exotic. With fewer numbers and a look all it's own it would be a cool exotic to add to the line up with Ferrari Mclaren and Lambo.

SoCal is an unknown quantity at this point
Don't forget the 918, if it ever gets made. I think that neither the GT2 not the GT3RS should be listed as exotic, but like Chris, it depends where you are in the US, or world, for that matter.
