yes they replaced my entire radio as well. No big deal if it doesn't work anyway because the best soundtrack exits the exhaust pipes.

Integrated system can interrupt your music, doesn't have any cords and suction cup, and is in general much cleaner to use.
Yes, it's not easy to use like the Garmin or what not, but they all work, once you learned how to used it.
Compare to my Garmin in dash in the E30, the E39 M5 MK4 DVD is absolutely an antique, but with the latest DVD, it works just fine, and I don't have cords, suction cup, lack of integration with BT and stereo. It just works.
I will always take OEM NAV over aftermarket stuff, especially the portable stuff.

Stoppie I was replying to 81911...not anyone else.
"Maybe half you guys should stop making asinine assumptions and wait till you get info and facts."
and this
"I swear people online know so much more then people in the dealers and within Porsche."
I guess the above statements made me want to react like I was talking to a 4yr old...my appologies.
here is some basic info
Battery Technology - Wikicars
and you can search: Hybrid Car Battery technology for more facts
Unless the battery supplier to Porsche has some new wisbang battery technology the approx real life expectancy to hybid batteries in cars like the toyota prius and honds civic and other hybrid cars available today is approx 2.5-4.5 yrs. This unfortunately does not back up the claims that the battery manufacturers have for 8yrs. The cost for the replacement batteries for these vehicles is in the 2500-4500 price range negating the arguement of cost savings of Hybrids vs Gasoline motors over a certain time period.
My point was if these hybrids are having battery issues - which they seem to be having (on a % of course) after 3yrs of ownership, the 918 with it's batterys may have the same or similar issue. But maybe not - there is no supporting data yet to support this.
But if it is the same technology or similar what do you think the cost for replacement will be?
