Also, to the OP, I'm sure you've read Jas's (RufMD) post that is sticky'd here in the GT forum... Seems to be required reading for would-be CGT owners.

Being 10 years younger the McLaren will be probably a better and more perfoming car.
BUT, with all respect, it does have the SOUL belonging to the CGT only!

7-8 years ago it would have been the Carrera GT... but looking into the future, the McLaren is on a whole different tech level no doubt... not to mention more drivable...

^ why tech that does the driver no justice? What happened to 'driver control' anymore? I fancy 3 pedals and a gear lever. that is soul and gives the car a whole different feel rather than an electronic f1 style way where it takes the fun away, gives you pleasure, but no fun like the CGT. The CGT was made to do one thing, give soul and admire the beauty of the insides, that can last for years to come, and still give the outcome "holy shit. i am buying a CGT." I believe it can last for 10+ years of excitement.
Maybe you should get your iPad to sync your auto information (temp., oil, etc) too while you're at it. Or even better, make your car BLUETOOTH! Control it with an app you get for .99 cents from the App Store.

i had a TTS paid for and being delivered, when i opted for a GT3 instead, last minute, with ZERO regrets... i'm sold on all that, but still... i'd take the GT1 over both!

Heh, who wouldn't?! Haha. Great choice on the GT3 mate, glad you're liking it. I had the opp. to buy one and I was about to, but I backed out and went for an ISF, who'd know? I feel like it is a fantastic car. Know what's funny, I hate technology, but I probably chose the worst car to hate tech.
...weee! Off to the 21st century I go... and beyond!

Nice thread. Good to see the opinions.
I'm getting an MP, but I WANT a CGT.
