WOW…. Honestly these are two very different cars that I cannot see how one can compare.
I think the CGT is easy to research and many different threads and sites have been dedicated to this beauty… all you need is to Google it (look closely at drivability and running cost)
The MP4 on the other hand is not out and the reviews seem extremely nice and flowery, but let me tell you… the car (show car) has issue. For about 50-60 min the crew could never get all the lights to work! Sometimes it’s the two fronts and one rear the other time it is only the ones on the diver side etc… the hood release never worked and took 10-15 min for one of the engineers to finally open it, the proximity sensor to open the door took a while to sense that it needs to work. This indicates a large electronics issue that McLaren need to resolve before mass producing. The door closing mechanism felt a little “week” in other works the door clinks shut and lacks the “solid” feel. The finish inside was not as solid as Porsche but not as “random” as the older Ferraris… in a Ferrari you normally can tell if the worker was in a good mood or now when he did the interior but with the MP4 it just seemed that the worker did not want to work on the car…
Please keep in mind that this was the road car and not the finished product… but then again it is what is being used to try and sell the finally product. So in my book the show car should if anything be better than the one off the production line.
How the MP4 drives I have no clue as of now, but I can only imagine that its heaven!! It must be to make up for all the short falls

That said, I would go for the CGT just because it’s one bad mofo!!!

I wish I had something interesting and/or useful to add.

I have never driven a CGT.

But I would take it every day over the McLaren.

BTW, Mark smells like socks.

...and it shall be passed onto the big dawgs. Great review Gray. I must say, the interior is like a dodge magnum srt 8.. idk if anyone has driven one, but it feels the same. I had the opportunity of sitting in an MP4, and I must add to the fact that it feels like the interior is 'too roomy' I feel like I can setup a cot on the dash and sleep on it. All though I will say the MP4 feels like a spaceship ready to go hyperspeed

In a fantasy world, I would pick the Carrera GT out of the two.

To be realistic, any Carrera GT would be long out of it's warranty period and if something goes wrong, it will hit your pockets hard.

With the McLaren you will still get a good couple years of hassle free maintenance.

Does anyone know the planned production of the MP4? I'm just curious from an exclusivity perspective.

I wouldn't drive the MP4 off a cliff I can tell you that much.

Blue Jays suck.
